About

Set up in 2015, the Human Writes Blog is a site dedicated to discussing current affairs relating to human rights and equality. With these being such political topics, the blog hopes to act as a hub for its readers; to discuss and challenge the views expressed in the articles, as well as helping people learn more about the challenges we face globally to better implement and protect human rights and equality law.

As well as articles being published on a fortnightly basis (found on the “Blog” tab), THWBlog hopes to offer readers much more. With social media profiles on Twitter and Facebook, we hope to keep you up to date with news about human rights from all over the globe. Furthermore, the “Useful Links” page references many other websites which allow the reader to learn more about how significantly human rights have developed, what charities and organisations are doing to help promote human rights worldwide and what human rights are and how they protect many of our freedoms in the present world.

Finally, we want the readers of THWBlog to feel like they are part of a community, where they can freely express their opinions, without feeling like they are being judged. So, we ask you to please respect each other’s comments and if you do disagree, reply constructively. We will not tolerate abuse of any kind on this blog.

If you have any questions or suggestions for the bloggers, please let us know through the information found on the “Contact Us” page above, but in the mean time we really hope you enjoy the site and continue to read, discuss and learn with us!

  1. Well done Jack for getting the blog up and running. I look forward with interest to reading not only yours but other peoples views on human rights and equality. If I feel I can contribute I will as and when time allows

    • Thank you for commenting David, it really is so nice for me to see people taking an interest in the subject and (hopefully!) thinking about the points I’m raising. Feel free to comment as much as you want and I look forward to discussing my posts with you in the future.
